Technique Blog Hop - Beyond BANNERS

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  Banners are all the rage now.  You see them everywhere.  This month we are featuring the banner technique on page 35 of the Close To My Heart Spring/Summer 2011 Idea Book, but with a twist.  Our goal was to use something other than triangles to create the banners.  Our blog hop is a big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.  If you would like to start from the beginning, please visit this link.  While there you will also find a listing of all participants and their blog addresses, if you should get lost or want to reference a blog along the way Let’s get started!

If you are coming from Judy Faye Garner's blog, you are on the right track!  This technique showcases the Fanfare paper packet in the Idea Book but you will find variations through this hop.

I used stamped letters to create the banner on this layout.

I used Waxy Flax to "string" the banner together.

Isn't he a cute boy?!  He wanted a REAL motor home for his
birthday!  Legos are more in my price range.

Here is a card I made using star images from the July Stamp of the Month
"American Celebration" to create a unique banner.
I used small stars to "string" together the banner.

Thanks for stopping by.  Comments are appreciated.  Please continue to Kelly George's blog to see additional Banner artwork...happy hopping!
