Father's Day Card with Cricut Artiste

My husband kept asking me for a card for his dad for Father's Day so he could mail it in time.  I thought I could find something in my stash that was already created, but everything was too girly. I'll have to spend a day creating some masculine cards.  But there was no time for that now.  I needed to produce a card quickly so it could get in the mail.  I whipped up this Father's Day card in less than 30 minutes which is fast for me.  I have a hard time committing when it come to paper patterns and placement.  

I dug through some scraps (love that) and looked at MojoMonday sketches to get my juices flowing.  The sentiment is from the Artiste Cricut cartridge, a CTMH exclusive.

June Scrapbook Layouts featuring Surf's Up

We created these fun, summery pages at this month's playgroup using Surf's Up workshop on the go (G1059) from Close To My Heart.  I can hardly wait to fill them with pictures. A big shout out to Nicole Norris for sharing her designs.

Using Textiles Without Sewing

What's All the Buzz About?

Sometimes I look at a paper kit in the CTMH Idea Book and think, "That's nice, but not for me." And usually after I get my hands on it and start playing with it I fall in love with it.  That is the case with the Buzz and Bumble paper collection on pg 29 (Item G1054).  I love it.  Here are a couple of cards I made using scraps I had left after making layouts.  I used the B and B workshop on the go stamp set for one and the adorable Bugs & Hugs stamp set (Item D1535) on the other one.  I also added a pinch of Crystal Blue color, see how it pops?  I think Olive would look nice too.
