Personalized Name Stamp

When I put this page together I was reminded of the time-consuming task of having my daughter write her name on multiple Valentine's Day cards. There are seven (7!) letters in her name, multiply that by 29 students and one teacher...we have to starts two weeks early. This year I have ordered a personalized name stamp from Close To My Heart (item#K900). Now we can prep the valentine's cards the night before the big day - no sweat! LOL And I'll have that cute little name stamp to use in the future on scrapbook layouts.

Good Things...

This was another layout created for my 30 day Creative Challenge (see previous post). This photo was taken over a year ago, but several embelishments on this page would not have been available to me back then, so it's a good thing to procrastinate. LOL.

The title was created using Close To My Heart Color Ready Alphabet stickers. I transfered the desired letters to waxed paper and used a sponge applicator and Desert Sand Exclusive Inks to color the letters to my liking. Then I moved the letters to my project.

The date stamp was super easy to do using the January stamp of the month "Moments In Time" Item D1339.

My daughter's holiday shirt says "Good Things Come In Small Packages, and good things come from being challenged. Thanks for looking.

Day 5 - Creative Challenge

This layout (LO) was inspired by the cover of the new Spring 2009 Idea Book from Close To My Heart. Compare the LOs side by side and you might think I'm crazy, but I promise...that was my inspiration. I am loving this creative challenge. It is making me get my photos out of a box and onto a page. Now if only I could get them into an album!

Creative Challenge

As a Close To My Heart consultant, I get to indulge in creating scrapbook layouts, cards and papercraft items and pretend to be "working." I was so looking forward to getting a lot accomplished creatively in December (what was I thinking?), but as you may have guessed the holiday hustle & bustle (and a little laziness) got the best of me. Thankfully, a fellow CTMH consultant has issued a challenge to her teammates to get us all creating and using our fabulous product line. Team members must create something everyday for a month and there will be a prize drawing at the end. I am always up for a reward (can you picture me as the donkey pulling a cart and chasing the dangling carrot?).

So here is my first creation. I don't know if I'll bore you with the challenge-artwork every day; and in fact I'm not all that proud of this one. However I am pleased with a few aspects. First of all, this is a two-page layout I put together at the end of 2006. All it needed was pictures and journaling (I didn't cheat, the creative challenge allows for using up old layouts). It does feel good to use up those layouts that have been sitting in a drawer waiting to be completed. And I am satisfied with my journaling. Because these Christmas photos are from 2007 and another year has passed since then, I took the opportunity to reflect on what has become of the toys from that year. See, sometimes it is good to be behind in your scrapbooking - LOL.

For the Dog Who Has Everything

I was at the mall today with my 4 year old. My purpose was to exchange some B&BW fragrance I received for Christmas; not fun for the 4 year old, but very satisfying for me (they are having a great sale right now!). So in addition to riding the elevator twice and the "escavator" (escalator) too many times, we stopped at the pet store. I've had my share of domestic creatures cohabitating with me, so this was nothing more than a trip to the canine zoo. I can't believe how much those dogs cost! We didn't pay that much for the car our teenager drives.

During our pass through the zoo/pet store, I saw these strollers for sale...so funny! Mind you, my most recent dog was larger than our 4 year old and weighed in at 95 Lbs (the dog, not the kid).

I wonder if Paris has one for her pooch.
