CTMH Snowhaven blog hop

Welcome to our bloghop where you will see artwork created by some talented friends featuring Snowhaven paper collection from Close To My Heart.  If you came from Debi's blog, you are at the right place.

I chose to make this 5x7 card for the holidays. It is just the right size to add a family photo inside and send to someone special.  I love the nontraditional colors of Black, Cranberry and Glacier.

Thanks for stopping by.  Click here to visit Aggie's blog.

Have a memorable day,

October Playdate - Pathfinding

It's officially Fall, even though temperatures may feel like summer where you live. That means it's time to get creative with Pathfinding.  This month we will be creating three two-page layouts using this festive, fall paper packet.

I live in Arizona, so I don't exactly appreciate four seasons like the rest of the world.  Can you see how I altered the stamped image in this layout?

Items needed
G1082 Pathfinding Workshop Kit
X1786C Pathfinding Complements - chipboard
1 extra sheet of Colonial White cardstock

Have a memorable day,
Sheila

CTMH Hostess Exclusive Stamp Set Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH Hostess Exclusive Stamp Set blog hop.  If you came from Marianne's blog you're in the right place.  In the 2014-2015 Annual Inspirations book there are 10 stamp sets available exclusively to hostesses with sales of $150 or more. Don't tune me out yet. Being a hostess is easier than you think.  Check out these sets here and throughout the hop, then read below to see how you can qualify to purchase your very own and start creating.

This is the Better With A Friend stamp set (D1608).  It is so fun and a little sassy.  It's only $10 (retail value of $17.95).  That's over a 40% savings.

Here's a 8x3-1/2" card I made using the Better with a Friend set and the Chalk It Up paper pack (X7184B).  I added some gold embossing, and gold sequins (Z2012).  The pattern for this card is Roundabout from the Wishes "how-to" book.

You can see more artwork at Tanya's blog.

Close To My Heart really knows how to treat their hostesses right.  Not only can you qualify for free products and half-off products, but you also have exclusive stamp sets at your finger tips. And did I mention they're also discounted!  Wahoo!!! Being a hostess doesn't mean hours of cleaning your house and getting rejected by all your friends.  There are many ways to host a party in this day and age. Contact me to find out more.

More Picture My Life Artwork

I've been playing with Picture My Life cards again creating quick and easy greeting cards.  This is from the Avonlea collection.

Here's what I started with:
The stamp set shown is Sweet As Sugar (D1615). It is one of ten exclusive stamp sets that are available to order at a discount when you host a party with sales of $150.  [If you're like me, sometimes I am my own party because I have a big wish list.]

I trimmed a little off the sides of the cards and rounded the corners, then added a bit of Slate and Colonial White cardstock.  Can you see how the PML cards became the greeting card?

Tada!

There are 13 Picture My Life kits to chose from, and during the month of August CTMH is offering a special on pocket memory protectors.  Click here to see more information in a previous post.

Have a memorable day,
Sheila

What A Hoot Artwork - Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month

4 x 6 card
The more artwork I see for the What A Hoot stamp set, the more I'm glad I purchased the set for my own use.  I made this cute card (if I do say so myself) using paper piecing to achieve the varied look of the owl. I stamped the image on two different pieces of paper and then cut the pieces and glued them together.  I'm so glad "line-work" is trending now too.

The paper used is from the Scaredy Cat collection (Item X7185B). I also pulled in the Thistle (purple) paper from the Basics Paper Fundamentals collection (Item Z2033).  Additional cardstock colors include White Daisy, Black, Slate, and Honey. The card template is Make It From Your Heart Vol. 1, Pattern 21.  Can you guess what new product was used for the eyes?

This stamp set is available through the end of August for $17.95, or for $5 with a $50 qualifying purchase.

Have a memorable day,
Sheila
