April Stamp of the Month - Life In Pictures

The camera images in this stamp of the month set take me back to memories of my grandpa and his brown Polaroid camera. I can remember him holding the newly taken photos to his chest so that his body heat could help the development process of the photo.

Do you still have a camera like the ones pictured here? I wonder if someday our grandchildren will think of cameras like our children think of typewriters. "Did you really use one of those?"
Item S1604 $17.95, or just $5 with a $50 minimum order.

What A Hoot Artwork - Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month

4 x 6 card
The more artwork I see for the What A Hoot stamp set, the more I'm glad I purchased the set for my own use.  I made this cute card (if I do say so myself) using paper piecing to achieve the varied look of the owl. I stamped the image on two different pieces of paper and then cut the pieces and glued them together.  I'm so glad "line-work" is trending now too.

The paper used is from the Scaredy Cat collection (Item X7185B). I also pulled in the Thistle (purple) paper from the Basics Paper Fundamentals collection (Item Z2033).  Additional cardstock colors include White Daisy, Black, Slate, and Honey. The card template is Make It From Your Heart Vol. 1, Pattern 21.  Can you guess what new product was used for the eyes?

This stamp set is available through the end of August for $17.95, or for $5 with a $50 qualifying purchase.

Have a memorable day,
Sheila

October Stamp of the Month: Very Merry Christmas

I know, it's October 1st and the high in Phoenix is 102 degrees today!  But it's time to start gearing up for the holidays.  Christmas is 12 weeks away.  The October Stamp of the Month is loaded with holiday images to help you create cards, gifts, and scrapbook pages.

Here's a quick card I made this weekend. I made my own patterned paper using the image of the tree and presents. That little added shimmer is Shimmer Trim self-adhesive ribbon (Item #Z1799). I love it!

Have a memorable day,
Sheila

I decided to make this cute little 'match book' card using the April stamp of the month, Flower Pot.
This is called a match book because the upper 3/4 of the card (stripes) tucks under the lower 1/4 of the card (green) like a book of matches. The flower pot is secured to the striped part of the card with 3D foam squares and holds the card shut. Pretty clever, huh? You can see more artwork featuring the Flower Pot stamp set on my website.
